Advanced Fire Fighting, refresh

A training in advanced fire fighting for deck or engine officers who need to renew their Advanced Fire Fighting certificate.

After successfully completing the course, you can apply for a course certificate from either Traficom (Finland) or the Swedish Transport Agency.

The course includes e-learning, which you will gain access to three weeks before the course starts. The e-learning focuses on the theoretical parts of the training. The course concludes with practical exercises at our fire training ground. Read more about e-learning here.

Prerequisites

• A valid medical certificate for seafarers not older than two years.
• Approved e-learning before participating in the practical components at the training ground.
• Traficom (Finland): Previously issued AFF certificate
• Transportstyrelsen (Sweden): At least three months of relevant sea service within the last five years. Previously issued Advanced Fire Fighting certificate, or certification as Deck Officer Class VII, VI, V, IV, III, II, or Master Mariner, Engineer Officer, Marine Engineer.
