Booking Terms

Registration: Registration for STCW courses and Hot Work is done via our website and usually closes 14 days before the course starts. If there are available places after this date, you can still register. In that case, the course will still appear as bookable on the website. Once you have registered, you will receive an automatic booking confirmation to the email address you provided. If you do not receive the confirmation, please contact us.

To register for General Fire Knowledge, FBK exercises or Teambuilding, send an email to info@asa.ax.

Cancellation: Employers/participants will be charged the full course fee if cancellation takes place later than 14 days before the course starts. Cancellation is done by calling +358-18-24100 or emailing info@asa.ax.

ID document: Participants in STCW courses and Hot Work must be able to verify their identity with a valid ID document at the start of the course.

Course cancellation: ASA Safety Center reserves the right to cancel the course if the number of registered participants does not reach the minimum level or if certain parts of the course cannot be carried out due to weather conditions.

Fit and sober: The participant must be free from injuries. The participant may not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs; any participant under the influence will be dismissed from the course and the full course fee will be charged.

Seafarer’s medical certificate: Participants in STCW courses must hold a valid medical certificate for sea service.

Insurance: You must have valid accident insurance when you attend the course.

Invoicing: Participants who pay for the course privately should note that 24% VAT is added to the price. After 01.09.2024 the VAT rate will increase to 25.5%.

Travel and accommodation: ASA Safety Center is not responsible for booking travel or accommodation. Our partner Axtours provides travel arrangement services and is responsible for your booking and customer service.
