Course overview
Survival Craft and Rescue Boats is a course for those who handle lifesaving equipment and survival craft/rescue boats.
After successfully completing the course, you can apply for a Survival Craft and Rescue Boats certificate from either Traficom (Finland) or the Swedish Transport Agency. Make sure you meet the authority’s additional requirements.
The course includes digital preparatory studies in the form of e-learning, which you will gain access to three weeks before the course starts. Read more about e-learning here.
Coffee and meals are included in the course price.

- Handling of lifesaving equipment
- Handling of survivors
- Distress signals
Prerequisites
- A valid medical certificate for seafarers not older than two years.
- Approved e-learning before the course starts.
Good to know
Courses that run over two days and start at 15:00 are scheduled to match ferry arrival and departure times. You can reach us with the morning ferry from Turku/Stockholm and return with the corresponding ferry once the course ends.
