Basic Safety Training, basic course

Basic Safety Training is an introductory safety course for those who will be part of the ship’s safety crew. It qualifies you to work on board without restrictions regarding voyage area or vessel size.

After successfully completing the course, you can apply for a Basic Safety Training certificate from either Traficom (Finland) or the Swedish Transport Agency.

The course includes e-learning, which you will gain access to three weeks before the course starts. Read more about e-learning here.

Prerequisites

• A valid medical certificate for seafarers not older than two years.
• Approved e-learning before participating in the practical components at our training facilities.
